About Wake House Australia in Andergrove QLD
Wake House Australia is a full-size clockwise cable on a man-made lake at Andergrove Lakes in Mackay, about halfway up the Queensland coast. Six carriers run roughly 400 metres under ten-metre towers — the high tension means solid air for anyone hitting the kickers. Obstacles include two custom kickers, a Sam de Haan staircase and bank rail by Shape Obstacles, a Dom Hernler transfer feature, a Flatbar Pro and Ollie Triangles by UNIT, and a custom pipe rail. Originally opened as GoWake Cable Park in 2013, the facility has been run since 2019 by Dan and Amanda Probert under the Wake House banner. Lakeside Cafe & Sunset Bar hosts live music on Fridays, and the Mackay Adventure Lodge offers on-site accommodation. The aqua fun park and direct flights from Brisbane, Melbourne, and the Sunshine Coast make it a stop on the north-Queensland riding circuit.
