About Fornelos Wake Yucatán in Yucatán
Fornelos Wake Yucatán is a city System 2.0 cable on the artificial lake at Plaza La Isla Cabo Norte in north Mérida — the Mexico sister of Galicia’s Fornelos Wake Club, opened in 2022 on the former Cable Park La Isla. One two-tower line runs on the mall lake with ramps, sliders, and kickers. Sessions include board, helmet, and vest; certified instructors work beginners and advanced riders, with kneeboard used as an intro. A bar, changing rooms, and showers sit at the lake, and stand-up paddle is offered at the cable. It is a beginner-friendly urban lake day, not a second copy of Fornelos de Montes, Spain.
